The SENER Group supports the Pablo Horstmann Paediatric Hospital in Kenya07/04/2020 (Kenya)
Within the actions that the company carries out in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility, the SENER Group has collaborated with the Pablo Horstmann Paediatric Hospital located in Lamu (Kenya), a contribution that has been used to finance the general running of the hospital during 2019 (consultations, salaries of professionals, medicines, etc.)
The Pablo Horstmann Paediatric Hospital was opened in April 2008 with the aim of providing free, quality health care to minors and young people aged 0 to 19. Every year, more than 10,000 children are treated directly at the hospital, benefiting almost 70,000 children and their families. The services provided by the centre include primary care consultations, monitoring of patients with chronic pathologies and emergencies and admissions for patients requiring hospitalisation. The centre also has a vaccination unit, a renutrition unit, an HIV unit, a tuberculosis unit, a diabetes unit and a cardiology unit.
The Pablo Horstmann Pediatric Hospital is an initiative of the Pablo Horstmann Foundation, a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to providing health care and education to vulnerable children in Kenya and Ethiopia for more than a decade. In 2019, one of the paediatric clinics in Meki, Ethiopia, received the UNICEF Award in the category 'Transforma'.
